Bubble Bath

Aug 3, 2023

The truth is, I have no way to know what you do to relax, how you might spend a rare evening in by yourself… What you do to enjoy those few moments you have to yourself once the kids have gone to bed and the house is finally quiet…

But here's a story I like to tell myself about you when I get a bit of alone time…

…And, yeah… it's gonna be totally clichéd, but I'm a simple man, and sometimes the simplest fantasies are the best…

The evening starts in your kitchen, where you pour yourself a glass of wine… red, perhaps? Maybe a nice, sensible Pinot Noir… before dimming the lights and heading to your bedroom. Leaving the glass on your dresser, you start drawing yourself a steaming hot bath, making sure to add in just the right amount of bubble bath… something with your favorite scents, perhaps something with a hint of almond…

…In truth, I don't have any idea of what smells you might enjoy, or what wine for that matter… so I just go with things that I enjoy thinking of you enjoying… but as with every last detail that there is to know about you, I do hope I find out one day, and soon…

While the tub fills, you head back to the bedroom to do some quick stretches, starting the process of easing the tension in your back, your shoulders, your neck…

…And in some dream future, I'd be more than happy to do whatever little I can do to help here… I don't know that I'm any good at giving massages, but I could learn, would learn… if it could help you even the tiniest bit…

Sensing the tub is nearly full, you begin to undress…

…And when I tell myself this story, I spend a good long time on this part… How you pull your blouse up over your head before unclasping your bra… And how you push those tight, tight pants over those hips that I love so well, before bending over to pull them past your feet…

But I'll spare you those details.

Ready for the bath, you grab the wine glass and head back into the bathroom. Setting the glass on the edge of the tub, you'll turn the water off before lighting a candle or two… maybe scented with just a hint of vanilla… then turn out the overhead lights before climbing into the tub…

…the warmth of the water caressing every single last curve of your body as you sink in…

And you'll relax like this for a few moments, feeling all of the tension, all of the worries of the day melting away…

Remembering the wine, you'll pick up the glass in one hand and reach for your phone with the other. Taking a sip, you'll open up an incognito tab and navigate to a URL that you know by heart… But, alas, there's nothing new… (sorry for that…) So you switch over to your notes app and browse through your own, personal archives…

Hmmm… what to read tonight? Something Touching, perhaps? Or maybe you're in the mood to be reminded of how much that One Curve is appreciated… Or… Perhaps it's a night to dream about how it may be like If It Were Easy. Or to reflect on those early days, back when you could only imagine your love By the Firelight, Smitten and watching for shooting stars…

Either way, the wine starts to make itself felt, and the warmth of the bathwater and the soft, flickering light of the candles pull away the last dregs of tension and worry… and you find yourself seeking Permission… as if you need it… To think about what could happen The Next Time I See You…

…and you put down the wine glass and the phone, and start reaching down… running your hand over that cute, sexy little tummy of yours, on its way to…

Well.

When I tell myself this story, I spend a good, long while on this part… Imagining every last detail in full vivid technicolor and dolby atmos… the sounds of your breathing, and the water lapping every so slightly… the way your chest rises, your breasts lifting out of the water, bubbles sticking to them at just the right places to keep you modest… Your eyes closed but still beautiful, the phone and wineglass forgotten on the floor next to the tub… And finally, your breath catching as your body sends little waves rippling throughout the tub… before sinking down, finally relaxing… finally ready to settle in for a good night's sleep…

But, I'll spare you the details.

And you'll stay in the tub for a bit longer, luxuriating in the warmth, before finally deciding you had better get to bed before drifting off right there in the bath…

Opening the drain, you get up and grab a towel…

…and yes, I linger here too, but this time I'll really spare you the details…

And you grab one of my old T-shirts to wear (…and nothing else…) before climbing under the blankets to keep the cool night air from giving you too many goosebumps…

…and finally…

Drift off to sleep.

sigh

Oh, my love, however it is that you actually like to spend your evenings…

I do hope you're having a lovely one.

Yours,
